Ένα μήνυμα σε μπουκάλι βρέθηκε στη θάλασσα από αλιείς 101 χρόνια μετά την αποστολή του και θεωρείται ότι κατέχει το ρεκορ χρόνου παραμονής στην θάλασσα. 
Ένας Γερμανός που ονομάζεται Richard Platz έγραψε ένα σημείωμά προς τον κόσμο στις 17 Μαΐου, 1913 - ένα έτος πριν από τον Πρώτο Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο. 
Ήταν μια καρτ-ποστάλ από τη Δανία με δύο γερμανικά γραμματόσημα σε αυτό και ένα μήνυμα, ζητώντας από αυτόν που θα το έβρισκε να το ταχυδρομήσει στη διεύθυνσή του στο Βερολίνο ».

More than a century on, it was found by a crew from the north German port of Heikendorf, near Kiel. ‘When I saw the date I got really excited,’ said skipper Konrad Fischer.

The oldest message in a bottle listed by Guinness World Records was found in 2012 – 97 years after it was sent.
