Groundbreaking 3D-printed nose implant now ready for trial

A bio-printed cartilage nose implant, made from a hydrogel-like material, has been developed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and is now ready for trials. 
The 3D implant, which can be used to repair a damaged nose, is bio-printed using cells from the patient, allowing it to grow along with the patient.
